MALMS Engineer and Torque

Scheduling & Recording Lighting Maintenance

What is it?

MALMS Engineer incorporating M-Torque and Airfield Torque is an airfield lighting inspection and maintenance tool that supports compliance with international standards.

Engineer incorporates a work scheduling and reporting tool that may be operated independently or integrated with an airports asset management system.

Engineer has been developed following a number of incidents where lights have become dislodged through loosening of the retaining bolts or studs as the result of vibration or negative air pressure from passing aircraft.

Engineer will provide airports with the assurance that all their light fittings are being inspected and maintained in compliance with airport regulations per ICAO annex 14, FAA AC 150/5340-26B, CAP 168 and others

MALMS Torque

- Moving map showing operator location and all assets
- Locate and identify assets by RFID tag or GPS
- List of outstanding faults with search facility
- Record all faults and maintenance actions performed (audit trail) including torque
- Prevention of airfield light’s becoming FOD (Foreign Object Debris)
- Provides assurance that all airfield light fittings are being inspected and maintained in compliance with ICAO annex 14, FAA AC 150/5340-26B, CAP 168 and others
- Incorporates scheduling tool to plan and record airfield lights inspection and maintenance work
- Replaces paper recording methods with an accurate digital solution
- Integration with Mobile, Workbench, Cleaner and Enterprise asset management software e.g. Maximo

Safety: M-Torque and Airfield Torque provides the means to demonstrate that an airport is operating safely

Extensive reporting to alert management with information concerning outstanding or overdue maintenance work

Significant verifiable Cost Savings: Efficient airfield lighting management process + accurate information + regulatory compliance + traceability + electronic data capture + safety. All contribute directly to reduced costs and provide a rapid return on investment

Inset or Elevated Lighting

Transverse will measure most types of inset and elevated lighting including approach lighting up to 1.5m above ground.

Laboratory Testing

Workshop will quickly and accurately measure the photometric performance of light fittings before they are installed on the airfield.

Effective Cleaning

MALMS have engineered products to remove contamination from light fittings and protect lights from future build up.
